Demise of noted author Partha Bijoy Dutta

GUWAHATI: Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) of Tinsukia district, Partha Bijoy Dutta passed away after a long ailment on Thursday. A talented writer, Dutta had quite a few Assamese books credited to his name. Dutta was battling cancer at a city hospital and breathed his last on February 7. He was former SDPO of Jonai and Namrup. His untimely demise is being widely mourned as Assam lost a talented author and multi-faceted genius.
