Department of Higher Education relaxes NOC rule regarding new jobs

GUWAHATI: The Department of Higher Education (DHE) has decided that teaching and non-teaching staff of colleges/universities/polytechnics will not be required to obtain no-objection certificates (NOCs) from the institutions concerned in order to apply for other posts in any government departments/organizations.

However, a letter issued in this connection by the Commissioner & Secretary of the Higher Education Department stated that any aspiring candidate may intimate the authority of the college/university/polytechnic concerned about his/her applying for another post in any Central and State Government organization.
