Dispur Police arrested one person for duping people on the pretext of providing jobs

GUWAHATI: The Dispur Police has arrested a person for duping people on the pretext of providing jobs at Dr. B R Ambedkar Memorial Hospital and Research Center, North East region.[Also Read: Guwahati Latest Crime News]

According to police, the accused took Rs 4 to 5 lakh each from as many as 22 persons. The accused was arrested from Shanti Plaza in the Jatia area here on Wednesday.

The arrest was made in connection to a case (494/2020 u/s 420, 406 IPC) registered at the Dispur Police Station in 2020.
