e-learning platform Gyansrota launched in Guwahati

GUWAHATI: In a major boost to the educational sector, through the development of digital content, a new e-learning platform named Gyansrota was launched in Guwahati on Sunday.

The vision of this new e-learning platform is to provide quality education at an affordable price pan India. Gyansrota has been designed to take care of the students of the entire country, irrespective of their location, language, and economic status. The curriculum-specific contents are not limited to the students who are studying in the English medium only.

In the first phase, Gyansrota will be launched in nine languages with 14 educational boards covering 23 States and 8 Union Territories across India. Assam is the only State where students still appear for four different languages in their board examination and hence the e-learning platform was launched first in Assam. Starting today, Gyansrota's digital study materials will be available for SEBA in three mediums- Assamese, Bodo, and English – covering the syllabus of Class IX and Class X, stated a press release.

Prominent actors Nipon Goswami and Nishita Goswami and eminent educationist Minoti Borthakur were present at the launch.
