English version of Tattvakatha released at Raj Bhavan, Guwahati

GUWAHATI: Assam Governor Prof Jagdish Mukhi released the Assamese version of a book, Tattvakatha written by the doyen of Assamese literature Rasaraj Lakshminath Bezbarooa. The English version of the book titled “Essays on Spiritualism” was translated by Dr. Sanjib Kumar Borkakoti, an eminent litterateur and researcher. The book was released at Raj Bhavan, Guwahati on Wednesday. It has been published by Vicky Publishers, one of the wings of Byatikram Group.

Launching the book, Prof. Mukhi expressed his prayers and blessings and said that “Rasaraj is the doyen of Assamese Literature. I am so happy to release the English version of the book and wishing a wide readership of ot.”

The translator of the book Dr. Borkakoti stated that “Assamese classics like Tattvakatha are actually a heritage of the entire mankind. I am fortunate to be instrumental in taking it to a wider platform”.

This book is a wonderful replica of the devotional approach in the Sanatan religion. The devotional style propounded by Srimanta Sankaradeva has been highlighted everywhere.
