Fake currency notes seized, one arrested in Guwahati city

GUWAHATI: Acting on intelligence inputs, a team of East Guwahati Police District (EGPD) from Hatigaon PS arrested Habijul Rahman of Bihpuria, Lakhimpur after he was caught red-handed while delivering Fake Indian Currency Notes (FICN) at Six Mile on Monday evening. A total of 30 fake currency notes of Rs 500 denomination and one Baleno car were seized from his possession. Legal action has been initiated.
