Fire at Gandhibasti in Guwahati, properties worth Rs 4 lakh damaged

GUWAHATI: The properties worth Rs 4 lakh were damaged in a major fire took place at Bylane No 2 of Gandhibasti in the city on Friday night.

According to the report, the fire broke out at a rented accommodation of Anu Devi, who rented it out to one Bharat Das. However, two fire tenders coming from Chandmari Fire Station doused the flame. No casualty has so far been reported in the incident.
