GUWAHATI: Rain-induced floods plagued the city again after intermittent downpours on Thursday.

The worst affected areas today included Hatigaon, Rukminigaon, RG Baruah road. Moreover, the situation was even worse in areas such as Anil Nagar and Nabin Nagar because previously accumulated rainwater was yet to recede there.

Meanwhile, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has warned of isolated, extremely heavy rainfall in Assam and Meghalaya for the next four days.

Officials said, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, and Meghalaya are still on orange alert, advising residents to be prepared for highly hazardous weather.
