Gas cylinder blast causes fire in Guwahati city

GUWAHATI: A fire broke at a house in the Chenikuthi area here on Wednesday evening, reportedly due a twin gas cylinder blast.

According to sources, no one was in the house when the fire broke out and no injuries or casualty have been reported. The identity of the owner of the house has not been ascertained, the source added.

However, a young girl, who was in the vicinity during the incident, became unconscious due to the massive explosion. She has been taken to a nearby clinic for medical attention.
