GUWAHATI: The Gauhati University (GU) Students' Community had come forward to help the people hit by flood. Earlier this week, a students' team of the University visited the flood-affected areas of Borbhag in Nalbari district and extended help to the flood victims.

Talking to this reporter, DhrubjyotiKalita, a volunteer and a student of the University, said, "In this act Zomato Feeding India helped us a lot. They contributed 1,400 kg rice, 200 kg split pulse, and 200 kg beaten rice". "Many students, ex-students from the University and many public extended their helping hand to us in our mission. We distributed food items, sanitary napkins, mosquito repellents, soaps among 210 flood-affected people in that area from the donation that we received. We want to thank all the people who helped us in this mission," Kalita added. The team consists of Kangkan Talukdar, Dipamgkar Deka, Saurav Haloi, Mridul Talukdar, DhanmaniKalita, Jintu Sarma, TutumoniSarma, and Amar Bhuyan accompanied by JintumaniKalita, ex-vice president of Gauhati University Post Graduation Student union and many locals.
