Gecko recovered; two arrested at Topatoli

GUWAHATI: A team of the East Guwahati Police District (EGPD) from the Khetri Police Station on Saturday arrested two persons, Rouchan Ali and Ali Ahmed of Milanpur at Topatoli near here while they were trying to smuggle in an endangered gecko lizard from Meghalaya.

Police sources said that the gecko has been handed over to the State Forest Department for conservation and further action.
