Guwahati Municipal Corporation to construct four-foot over-bridges
Minister of Law and Justice, Cooperation and Guwahati Development Department Siddhartha Bhattacharya on Wednesday announced that the GMC (Guwahati Municipal Corporation) will construct four foot over-bridges at Rukminigaon, Bora Service, Bhangagarh, and Fancy Bazar.

GUWAHATI: Minister of Law and Justice, Cooperation and Guwahati Development Department Siddhartha Bhattacharya on Wednesday announced that the GMC (Guwahati Municipal Corporation) will construct four foot over-bridges at Rukminigaon, Bora Service, Bhangagarh, and Fancy Bazar.
He stated this while distributing regulation letters among 500 DWE, fixed pay and contractual employees at Srimanta Sankaradeva International Auditorium in Guwahati.
Bhattacharya underlined that despite having sufficient number employees under the GMC, workers from other departments are engaged under deputation to do the works for the department.
Moreover, the Minister stated, "The GMC election will be held after the forthcoming Assembly polls. The department will be improved after the election and I assure that that the Council which will be formed after the election will do better work for the department."
