Guwahati Police arrested two persons in connection to a truck hijack case

GUWAHATI: The Guwahati Police on Wednesday arrested two persons in connection to a truck hijack case. According to reports, on September 12, one Abu Samad of Kablabori Sor of Mukalmua along with four associates hijacked a truck and unloaded all the goods. They sold the goods to the arrested duo - Nijamuddin Ahmed (29) and Somej Ali (32).

After direction of Commissioner of Police and under Supervision of DCP (Crime) and ADCP (Crime), the police conducted a raid and apprehended the duo from a rented apartment in Daranda, Sixmile.

The whole goods were kept in a godown at Panjabari and the raid was conducted with the help of Basistha Police. The further investigation is on.
