Guwahati: Police Nabs Broker Involved In Medicine Smuggling At GMCH

Guwahati: A broker on Monday was caught red-handed by the police while smuggling medicine at Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH)

The broker identified as Kuldeep Dutta was involved in selling the medicines outside the hospital at several places which are available free of cost to the patients.

According to authority, Dutta was a part of the cycle that would take original prescriptions and edit the number of medicines.

After this, he would take the medicines from the central pharmacy of the GMCH for free and sell them outside.

Later, after the intervention of GMCH authorities, the whole matter came to light.
