Guwahati records 2nd highest temperature in June

GUWAHATI: Guwahati saw the second-highest temperature recorded in the month of June on Wednesday, as the mercury touched 38.9 degrees Celsius. The highest maximum temperature ever recorded in the month of June at Guwahati was 39.0 degrees Celsius on June 13, 2019. The Indian Meteorological Department had earlier issued a yellow warning for light to medium rains in several parts of Northeast India in the second half of the ongoing week.
