Guwahati Traffic Police WhatsApp receives 36 complaints in 3 days

GUWAHATI: Guwahati Traffic Police has received 36 complaints of a traffic violation, within three days of the launch of two WhatsApp numbers.

Kamrup Metro DTO on February 12 launched two WhatsApp numbers (6901269006/6026176755) for the public to lodged complaints regarding traffic violations and misbehavior by the bus personnel. DCP Traffic Ranjan Bhuyan said “This is a good response within three days. We can curb the menace of traffic violations across the city through this initiative. We have started to investigate the received complaints and Guwahati Traffic Police’s Facebook page is also made active.”
