The remaining 2.2 lakhs don't have GMC holding numbers and don't give GMC their taxes. The government will lose out on this revenue. For this reason, APDCL is urging all of its GMC-affiliated clients to change their assessment id or holding number. Those who have a GMC holding number can easily change it on the APDCL website; however, those without one have trouble. However, a new online link is available to complete the self-assessment form and obtain a GMC holding number. Guwahati Municipal Corporation has introduced special waiver on property tax by exempting the taxpayers with 50% discount. The offer is valid till 20 December 2022.
