Huge cache of IMFL seized in two operations across Guwahati

City police seized huge caches of Illegal IMFL (India Made Foreign Liquor) in two separate operations on Friday night.

GUWAHATI: City police seized huge caches of Illegal IMFL (India Made Foreign Liquour) in two separate operations on Friday night.

Acting on a tipoff, personnel of Gorchuck Police Station searched Pooja Parking at Betkuchi and recovered 20 cartons of Kingfisher Beer.

Similarly, staff of the Basistha Police Station also seized 90 bottles of IMFL from Raju Dhaba, which situated on the National Highway. The bottles were kept hidden in a car behind the Dhaba. On Thursday night too, Basistha Police seized 95 bottles of illegal IMFL from two eateries, viz., Ganesh Dhaba and Pandit Hotel — both located on National Highway.

Over the last fortnight, a total of 3,372 bottles/cans of illegal IMFL have been seized, informed Police sources.
