IG, CRPF Calls For Maximum Participants During Polls

GUWAHATI: CRPF has been nominated as the nodal security agency in the state of Assam and IG, CRPF, NE Sector is the state force Coordinator for Assam. Elaborate security arrangements have been made in the state with due consultation with the state police and civil administration, General observers and police Observers have also been apprised. All the poling staff and the security personnel have been dispatched their destination and adequate numbers of mobiles, flying squads and striking reserves have been planned. IG CRPF has appealed to the electorate of the state of Assam to participate in the parliamentary election in large numbers in all the three phases on April 11, 18 and 23, a press release stated.
