Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Guwahati students mark protest against CAB

Guwahati: With the protest against the Citizenship Amendment Bill (CAB) taking grip across the state, the students of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati too joined hands by staging a protest against the controversial bill. The meritorious students coming from different parts of the region, through their protest have exhibited that too are standing with the people of Assam.

The IIT (G) students chose to mark their protest against the CAB by tying a piece of black cloth to their mouths. The students have, thus, demonstrated a silent protest against the CAB. The students taking part in the protest are the ones hailing from the northeast and this will certainly hold a picture of the unity and integrity amongst the people of Assam towards any threat to its citizens to the students coming from other parts of the country. The students demonstrated their protest at the main entrance until late hours.

Keeping their stand in front of the media, the students alleged that they are never going to accept the CAB which possesses a huge threat to the indigenous people of the state. In fact, not only this, the students of the IIT (G) even threatened of opting for intensified protests if their demands are not fulfilled and the aforementioned Bill is not withdrawn.
