A group of people who celebrated the birthday on the newly inaugurated Dispur Supermarket flyover recently which has drawn a mixed response from netizens after a photo of the event went viral on social media now opened up their reason for such abrupt celebration.

The identities of the people have come to light and they claimed that they celebrated the birthday event in an unusual way to just give amusement to a special child.

Arup Kalita, the father of the child, speaking to media said that they celebrated the birthday of a married woman who lives in their rented house on November 4.

"We went to celebrate the birthday of a woman who along with her husband who live next to our rented house. On our journey to a restaurant, we had come across a traffic jam in the flyover. So, we decided to cut the birthday cake on the overbridge. We took the decision just to amuse our special child. He likes lights. He could not understand others' voices. The celebration took just five minutes. I am disheartened by the nature of the people who trolled us on social media," he added.

Kalita's wife also said that they were disheartened by the trolls. "There are lots of issues in the country. But what some people are doing is troll us. We are disheartened by it,'' the child's mother said.

It is to be mentioned here that just after the inauguration of the newly constructed Dispur Flyover, it has been in the news for all wrong reasons. Firstly, the news came up of unruly citizens of Guwahati painting the walls "red" with tobacco stains and later on with the news of by-passers taking a halt only to click a selfi with their loved ones, creating a traffic jam.

However, the news of a family celebrating a 'birthday of a small child' took the social media by storm and made it to the headlines and also much talked about topic on the social media with netizens coming to a conclusion with unwarranted comments.

Notably, the picture could also witnessed the family taking a photo in a long car parked trail and they were not the nothing one but with a unique reason.
