Kamrup(M) Deputy Commissioner meets Police Officials ahead of Panchayat Elections

GUWAHATI: Deputy Commissioner, Kamrup (M) Virendra Mittal held a meeting with top-level police officials at Cotton University, Bishnu Rabha Auditorium regarding the first phase of Panchayat Elections to be held on December 5. “Proper discipline while conducting elections should be maintained and the code of conduct is to be strictly monitored,” he said. Guwahati Police Joint Commissioner Diganta Bora, who was also present in the meeting, asked police officers to visit every polling station in the district and ensure the smooth running of the panchayat polls.
