KMSS leader Akhil Gogoi sent to 14-day judicial custody | 25 Jan, 2020

GUWAHATI: RTI activist and Krishak Mukti Sangram Samiti (KMSS) leader Akhil Gogoi has been sent to 14-day judicial custody again on January 24. Gogoi was produced before a special NIA court in Chandmari on Friday. He was arrested under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA). The KMSS leader was arrested in Jorhat amid protests over the contentious Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) on December 12, 2019.
