Man held for sexually harassing minor daughter in Guwahati

GUWAHATI: A Home Guard of the Guwahati Refinery was arrested by the All Women's Police on Monday for allegedly sexually harassing his daughter. The arrest was made after the Home Guard's wife registered a case at the All Women's Police Station at Panbazar alleging that he has been sexually harassing their 12-year-old daughter since she was seven years old. The police has registered a case (1/21 u/s 354 IPC and r/w 12 section of POCSO Act) and the accused was presented before the Court on Tuesday. He has been sent to judicial remand.
