Man run over by bus near Pandu Port area in Guwahati

GUWAHATI: One person, identified as a rickshaw-puller named Munin Bora, died when he was run over by a city bus near the Pandu Port area under Jalukbari Police Station on Saturday.

According to police sources, a city bus (AS25 DC 6934) ran over Bora in the morning while it was coming out for the day's trips.

According to police sources, the bus was being driven by a handyman at the time of the accident.

Irate local residents created a hue and cry after the incident, but they were later pacified by the police.
