GUWAHATI: In an important convergence meeting held at the Conference Hall of DC’s Office, Kamrup Metropolitan District on 4 January,2019 with representatives from Revenue and Disaster Management Department, Directorate of Land Records, Guwahati Metropolitan Development Authority, Principal Conservator of Forests and Circle Officers Deputy Commissioner Virendra Mittal laid down the road-map for identification of indigenous landless families and for preparation and distribution of Pattas on a Mission Mode.

Accordingly, all ADC’s heading the teams have been asked to take stock of daily and weekly progress in this regard. Authorities from Forest Department, Directorate of Land Records and GMDA assured complete co-operation in sync with Governments vision and will be submitting earmarked individuals from their respective departments for each circle wise team. The Deputy Commissioner also assured that the prospective time lines of the visits of these teams to their earmarked Circles will be communicated beforehand to the Departments, for necessary co-ordination, a press release stated.

The Deputy Commissioner informed all present that the District Administration to facilitate the entire exercise has already constituted five teams Revenue Circle wise, each headed by an Additional Deputy Commissioner namely Bidyut Bikash Bhagawati for Azara Revenue Circle, Kshitish Chandra Pegu for Dispur Revenue Circle, Ratul Pathak for Sonapur Revenue Circle, Ranjit Konwar for Chandrapur Revenue Circle and Nabadeep Pathak for Guwahati Revenue Circle.
