GUWAHATI: A confidant Finance Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has said that the ruling alliance in the State is heading for its 100+ target. He has also said that the ruling alliance is going to retain power at Dispur. Talking to the media here on Wednesday, Sarma said, "All the four seats in Kamrup(M) are for the ruling alliance. No other party can make inroad into these four." Kamrup(M) has four LACs (Legislative Assembly Constituencies) – Gauhati East, Gauhati West, Dispur and Jalukbari.

When asked on his filing of nomination papers, Sarma said, "I'm going to file nomination papers on March 19, 2021. I'll take out a road show on that day from Sonaram HS School while filing the nominations." The last date for filing of nominations for the third phase of the State Assembly poll is March 19, 2021. The polling is on April 6.
