New Cotton students' body elected

GUWAHATI: Results of the elections to the Cotton University Students' Union (CUSU) for 2021-22, which were held on Tuesday after a gap of two years, were declared on Wednesday.

Niyor Deka was elected as president of CUSU while Abhishek Mahanta was elected as general secretary. Heena Dewri was elected as vice-president while Jumi Gogoi was elected as Assistant General Secretary.

Chandrajyoti Bania won as Cultural Secretary, Ujjibit Boruah as Music Secretary, Akash Bhattacharjee as Boys' Common Room Secretary, Namrata Boruah as Girls' Common Room Secretary, Namrata Sarma as Social Service Secretary, Shaswati Priyadarshani as Editor of the 'Cottonian', Sudarshan Kaushik Sarmah as Debate and Symposium Secretary, Anisha Bungrumg as Athletics Secretary, Nayanmoni Kalita as Cricket Secretary, Rupam Dewri as Football & Hockey Secretary, Fwrmaishi Brahma as Minor Games Secretary, Deepshikha Kakoti as Gymnasium, Swimming and Tennis Secretary and Nepuranjan Hazarika as Boys' Court Member.
