GUWAHATI: The Northeast Frontier Railway Women's Welfare Organisation (NFRWWO) plays an important role in the field of employee welfare and social service through its multifarious activities. The organization assists the employees, their families and needy people across the jurisdiction of NFR in difficult times.
The NFRWWO has contributed in fighting against COVID-19 by distributing masks to the railway employees and their families of Headquarters and Divisions. NFR Women's Welfare Organisation also distributed dry food items, masks and sanitary napkins to the needy people in the railway colonies and station areas.
On June 11, NFRWWO led by its president Abha Gupta, vice president Pushplata Gautam and other executive committee members distributed dry food items and masks to porters and cleaners at Guwahati and Kamakhya Railway Station premises. The team also distributed dry food items, masks and sanitary napkins to the needy women of the Maligaon area, stated a release.
