Police personnel injured on duty to get promoted: DGP Bhaskar Jyoti Mahanta

GUWAHATI: Police personnel injured in bomb blasts and terrorist attacks on duty, who were denied promotion as they could not take part in the necessary training, will now be promoted. This was announced by Director General of Police (DGP), Assam, Bhaskar Jyoti Mahanta during an interaction between high-level police officers and 25 injured police personnel and their families at the DGP office at Kahilipara in the city on Saturday.

The DGP also said that the police personnel injured in bomb blasts and terrorist attacks while on duty, need not undergo the necessary training to get promoted and the promotion criteria will also be relaxed in their case.
