Poshan Maah celebrated at Guwahati Urban ICDS Project

GUWAHATI: A tribal food fair and recipe competition was organiszed at Mikirbasti AWC, Kahilipara of Guwahati Urban ICDS Project on Tuesday in the presence of Principal, Government BDS Deaf and Dumb School, Jyoti Rekha Borgohain, Divisional Program Officer (WC&D) Debojit Borah, Chand Ram Deputy Director (Accounts) NIPCCD, and other dignitaries.

Iron rich food items and complementary food recipes were also displayed. The rich source of nutrients that one can avail from tribal food items was focussed. The recipe competition was participated by 20 Anganwadi workers and judged by nutritionist Nomi Mohan and Sanghamitra Konwar. As September month is celebrated as Poshan Maah, CDPO, supervisors, Poshan team , AWWs & AWHs of Guwahati Urban ICDS Project are actively participating to spread the message of 'Mahila aur Swasthya' and 'Bacha aur Shiksha'.
