Publication Board Assam released dictionary to pronounce Assamese words
The Publication Board, Assam on Thursday published a dictionary which would help the younger and future generations to pronounce Assamese words correctly.

GUWAHATI: The Publication Board, Assam on Thursday published a dictionary which would help the younger and future generations to pronounce Assamese words correctly.
The dictionary has been written by noted writer and dictionary maker Sumanta Chaliha.
Releasing the dictionary at the premises of the Publication Board, Advisor of Education to the Assam Government, Dr Noni Gopal Mahanta said that correct pronunciation is very important to enrich a language. He also pointed out that incorrect pronunciation can change the very meaning of words.
Dr Mahanta hoped that the new dictionary would help particularly the younger generation to speak and pronounce Assamese words perfectly. Secretary of the Publication Board,Pramode Kalita termed the publication of the new dictionary as a historic event to enrich the Assamese language.
