GUWAHATI: The Raijor Dal has alleged that the BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party) has not fulfilled most of its promises made in its vision document unveiled ahead of the 2016 Assembly polls. Addressing the media at Mathgharia party office, Raijor Dal working president Bhaso De Saikia underlined that there were 476 promises in the BJP's 2016 vision document. However, in the last five years, the party has only fulfilled five of those promises which is a mere1.06 per cent of the total.

"Out of the 476 promises, the Government didn't take any step to fulfill 425 of them. While in the last five years, the Government partially fulfilled 46 promises, it didn't work on 89.28 per cent of the total announcements. In 17 of the total promises, the Government completely took a U-Turn by taking an opposite stand against the respective announcement," claimed Saikia.

Further, Saikia jibed the BJP-led government by stating that if it takes five years to complete five promises then it will take 476 years to complete all.

"The failure of the Government in keeping its promises was highlighted during our research. The research found that the promises made by the BJP have no value that is why the party is doing communal politics to contest the forthcoming polls," Saikia added.

The press meet was also attended by another working president of Raijor Dal Jitul Deka, among others.
