Retired Indian Oil officer Durga Dhar Khound passed away at the age of 90

GUWAHATI: Durga Dhar Khound, the first batch trainee in the oil sector to Romania to acquire the know-how to run a refinery, passed away at the age of 90 years at his Narikalbari residence in Guwahati at late midnight today. He retired from service as a Plant Manager in 1988. Indian Oil retired officers deeply mourned his death. Late Khound had an immense contribution towards the growth of Guwahati Refinery in the initial years. RIOWA, general secretary, Guwahati unit Moloy Baruah mourned his death on behalf of the Association, a press release said.
