Road safety awareness programme held in Guwahati

GUWAHATI: In order to create awareness among the people about the various aspects of road safety and prevention of road accidents through various means like wearing helmets on two-wheelers, wearing seat belts while driving and not driving under the influence of alcohol, Kamrup District Road Safety Committee organized a road safety awareness programme at the Chandmari U-turn on Sunday.

Assistant Commissioner of Transport and District Transport officer Gautam Das, chairman of Jyoti Chitraban Vidyasagar, officials and staff of city traffic department and several eminent persons were present during the programme.
