Sadou Asom Prathamik TET- Uttirno Sikshak Samaj (SAPTUSS) Announce 48-hour Stir

STAFF REPORTER

GUWAHATI: After receiving no positive outcome regarding regularization of the job even after holding so many protest programmes for a long time, the Sadou Asom Prathamik TET- Uttirno Sikshak Samaj (SAPTUSS) announces of holding “Tala-Bandh” programme at District Mission Coordinator office in each districts.

Addressing a press conference at Guwahati Press Club on Tuesday SAPTUSS said, “Our main demand is to regularize our job. We’ve been conducting protest programme for a long time. On last June 29 we took up programmes like Dispur Chalo for a permanent solution. We have been a expecting a positive result since then, but as of now we’ve received no positive sign on the part of the government to ensure our jobs. Moreover the recent TET can be a threat to those who have been offering their service since last 8 years. Because our job is still not regularized and the government will release advertisement for regular posts after the completion of the recent TET procedure. We don’t have any grudge for those who will qualify the TET but there is a chance that the newly qualified candidates will apply for regular posts and will join in regular posts which will deprive teachers like us who have been serving since last 8 years.”

SAPTUSS general Secretary Mirajul Rashid said, “We are always ready for a discussion and to show reason to regularize our jobs. We’ve sent letters to the department and the education minister so many times regarding this, so that the teachers don’t have to take to the streets with their demands. We even stopped our protests with the hope to come into a discussion. Even after our final letter, we could receive little response from the department. So, now we’ve decided to stage massive protest against the government. As of now we have decided to take up “Tala Bandh” programme at District Mission coordinators office. Failing to receive any response will lead the teachers to conduct Break in Service programme for three days in the month of November itself and finally a 48 hour long protest conducted centrally in Guwahati.”

SAPTUSS further added that the Education Department and the Education Minister will be fully responsible for any possible outcome that may resulted from the massive protest that will be taken by TET qualified teachers.
