

GUWAHATI: The Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), Frontier Headquarters, Guwahati has launched a campaign to distribute more than one lakh National Flags to people spread over hundreds of kilometers along the Indo-Bhutan border in Assam.
A press release stated that along with this, many cultural programmes are being organized by the SSB to instill a sense of patriotism and service to the country. A three-day special programme has been organized by the SSB from August 13 to August 15 on the occasion of 75th anniversary of India's Independence under the aegis of 'Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav'.
National Flag distribution was carried out on Saturday in the Games Village here under the Government of India's special campaign 'Har Ghar Tiranga', which was launched by Sanjeev Sharma, Inspector General, SSB, Frontier Guwahati. In the event National Flags where distributed to the local people, including children, and the family members of SSB personnel. Sanjeev Sharma stressed the importance of the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign to the students and urged them to hoist the Tricolor at their homes.
As part of this programme, a rally was also organized under the leadership of Sonam Bodh, Deputy Inspector General of SSB, Frontier Guwahati, from Games Village to Basistha Mandir. During the rally, National Flag were distributed to local people and they were urged to hoist the National Flag informed about the Do's and Don'ts regarding the National Flag.
