Skill Development Programme Underway at Dispur

GUWAHATI: On the sidelines of the Swahid Divas (in memory of Martyr Sudeshna Sinha), a six-day skill development programme specifically on coconut-based handicraft began on Monday at Housefed Complex at Dispur at the initiative of the Nikhil Bishnupriya Manipuri Yuva Parishad (NBMYP) with support from the Coconut Development Board's Northeast regional office under the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare. Eleven participants - nine females and four males- are taking part in the programme that was inaugurated by CDB Director Lungar Obed, Raju Rai from CDB and Dabashis Sinha from the NBMYP.
