Two bodies found in Guwahati

GUWAHATI: The body of one Pradip Dey alias Pujan Dey from recovered from a house in the Patarkuchi area of Basistha here on Sunday morning.

Police sources said that the body of Dey, a middle-aged man, is believed to have been lying inside the locked house, which he shared with his nephew Raju Das.

The nephew was not present at the house for the last three days.

The body of Dey, who worked as an e-rickshaw driver, has been sent for post-mortem.

Meanwhile, the body of man named Debojit Sarma was found lying in a ditch at Tarun Nagar here on Saturday night. Police sources said that the deceased was an employee of a finance company. The cause of death has not yet been ascertained, the sources added.
