Vandals target Assam Assembly TV cables

GUWAHATI: Some miscreants cut the TV cables inside the Assam Legislative Assembly building as well as outside it on Sunday and on March 9, disrupting live telecast of the House proceedings.

The Joint Secretary of the Nazarat Branch of the Assembly has filed an FIR in this connection at the Dispur Police Station. The FIR mentions that there is CCTV footage of the first act of vandalism that took place on March 9.

A case (No. 591/2022 u/s 448/427/34 IPC) has been registered by the police.
