Veteran photo journalist Anupam Nath to conferred Parag Kumar Das award

GUWAHATI: Veteran photo journalist Anupam Nath, who is now working for the Associated Press (AP) to cover the South East Asia, has been selected for the prestigious Parag Kumar Das Journalism Award for the year 2021. Starting his career in a humble way in 1995, Nath was adjudged as one of the 100 best photo journalists selected by Time, a leading international magazine in 2017.

Several photos of Nath highlighting trauma and tragedy of the people during the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020 grabbed the global attention and won accolades at different platforms. The award will be conferred on Anupam during a function scheduled to be held at the Guwahati Press Club at Ambari on February 24.
