Guwahati:  At a time when the steady and alarming rise in the number of COVID-19 cases in Guwahati has citizens on edge To fighting the Covid 19 pandemic, the frontline COVID warriors including doctors, nurses and other staff deserves salutation for their devotion and sacrifice. A viral video of a COVID-19 warrior in Guwahati is winning the hearts of the citizen.

According to reports, the nurse whose picture was snapped has been rendering her service at the Khanapara COVID-19 Care Centre in Guwahati. In the photograph that is being hailed by the netizens, the unnamed nurse can be seen sitting on the floor for a while, apparently resting after a hard day of tending to patients. Although the face of the nurse is not visible, she can be seen sitting hunched over -- apparently in a state of fatigue brought on by exertion and heat.

Personal protective equipment is protective clothing, helmets, goggles, or other garments or equipment designed to protect the wearer's body from injury or infection. The hazards addressed by protective equipment include physical, electrical, heat, chemicals, biohazards, and airborne particulate matter. PPE kits, in spite of the discomfort they cause the wearer, are being used by all hospital personnel who are tending to the COVID-19 positive as a protective measure against the highly transmissible virus.

The picture was originally posted by a certain Ron Bikash Gaurav, along with the caption, "A heartfelt picture of a Nurse from Khanapara(Assam) Covid center: Temperature of Guwahati is around 32°. Now, just imagine the pain they are going through. Still, Some politicians/People are speaking Rabish. Proud of our NHM Assam Warriors."

After the picture started going viral on social media, Assam health minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma also took note of it. He retweeted the photograph, along with the words, "Proud of my team."
