Woman Robbed Over The Internet

GUWAHATI: One Ananya Lahiri, a resident of Sukreswarghat Panbajar has been swindled through an internet fraud situation. After receiving three messages on her phone early in the morning, she was shocked to find that a hefty amount of Rs. 50,000 has been debited from her account. The transaction was made in Jaipur while the victim was in Guwahati. Upon enquiry of bank statement, it was discovered that five transactions were made from Jaipur and a total of Rs. 76,800 was stolen. As it was a clear case of fraud, she registered a case (852/18) against it.
