Guwahati: Drug peddlers arrested, heroin seized in city

GUWAHATI: A team from Azara PS, acting on a tip-off, raided a hideout at Jagaran near VIP and apprehended three drug peddlers identified as Dimbeswar Mazumdar of Ghagrapar, Atowar Rahman of Barpeta and Asmat Ali of Nagarbera. Police seized 10 vials of heroin, an empty vial, Rs 640 in cash, a Honda Activa scooter and a smartphone. Legal action has been initiated against the accused.
