On 1st February 2018, Google Doodle by artist Manjit Thapp remembered legendary Indian English and Malayalam poetess Kamala Das.
Google Doodle celebrates “the work she left behind, which provides a window into the world of an engrossing woman,” as reported.
Kamala Surayya a.k.a. Kamala Das was born on 31st March 1934 in Thrissur district of Kerala. Her father V. M. ir, was former maging editor of Malayalam daily Mathrubhumi, while her mother Balamani Amma was a renowned Malayali poet.
Kamala Das, was also a leading Malayalam author from Kerala, India.
