Indigo Torment: Doctor allegedly dragged out by collar after he complains of mosquitoes onboard

Indigo airline seems to have earned a notoriety for grabbing the headlines for all the wrong reasons. This time it was a Bengaluru doctor who was on the receiving end. Cardiologist Dr.Saurabh Rai was allegedly dragged away from the plane at Lucknow airport after he complained of mosquitoes onboard the aircraft.

According to Indigo, Dr.Rai had used “intimidating language” and the word “hijack” onboard the 6E-541 aircraft which was scheduled for Bengaluru.

In a video that Dr.Rai posted on social media, he alleged that Indigo staff had manhandled him after he complained of mosquitoes inside the aircraft. He further said “The crew members called me a terrorist and said that I was a threat to other passengers onboard”.

However, according to a statement issued by Indigo Airlines, Dr.Rai was offloaded for his unruly behavior and use of strong intimidating language on the crew members. The statement also added that Dr.Rai tried to instigate other passengers and used the word “hijack” after the aircraft doors were closed for preparation to takeoff.

Indigo Airlines grabbed the headlines just a few months ago when a passenger was dragged and assaulted by their staff at New Delhi airport.
