PIL filed against University of Calcutta

PIL filed in Calcutta High Court against University of Calcutta's decision to award West Bengal CM with D.Litt .

According to reports, a PIL (Public Interest Litigation) has been filed in Calcutta High Court against University of Calcutta's decision to award West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee with an honorary D.Litt Degree.

Earlier in last week of October 2017, the University decided to confer her D. Litt for her "literary and social work".  As per reports, the convocation is scheduled for January 11th 2018.
