According to reports, Rajya Sabha MP from Assam Ripun Bora moved a private member’s resolution in Rajya Sabha seeking replacement tiol Anthem’s ‘Sind’ word with ‘Northeast’.
“North East India is an important part of India. It is unfortute that it is not part of the tiol anthem,” Said Ripun Bora.
“Sindh” represented the Sindh province which is now a part of Pakistan, and hence should be removed from the tiol anthem.” He added, as reported.
