According to reports, two persons were seriously injured in police firing in Maibang incident, who reportedly later lost their lives on their way to Guwahati for further treatment.
As per inputs, the two deceased received injuries in head and chest who were admitted in Civil Hospital at Haflong for treatment on Thursday.
The protestors demanded High Level enquiry and suspension of DC Dima Hasao. A black day was observed in the district on Republic Day on the incident.
The protestors reportedly damaged railway tracks to stop train movement during 12 hours bandh on 25th January.
Four trains have been cancelled due to tense situation.
