US President Joe Bidens Warning Brings Saudagar Movie Memories Alive

Sentinel Digital Desk

NEW DELHI: A video of the President of United States Joe Biden has been making the rounds on social media. The video shows Biden giving a warning to the Taliban and interestingly the dialogue is reminiscent of an epic clip from the 1991 Bollywood movie "Saudagar".

The video shows Biden saying they (US) would respond with force and precision at their time, at the place they choose and at the moment of their choice. The clip of the Bollywood flick being referred to here shows actor (in this comparison) Raj Kumar saying "Hum tumhe marenge, aur zaroor marenge, lekin wo banduk bhi humari hogi, goli bhi humari hogi aur waqt bhi humara hoga", which when translated comes to, "we will certainly kill you, but the gun will be ours, the place will be ours and the time will also be ours".

Interestingly, Biden's warning and the 1991 film's clip sound quite similar. A user posted the clip on Instagram after which it began doing the rounds.

On Friday, Biden said the Taliban will have to face a forceful response if they make any attempt to attack American forces or cause obstructions in evacuation operations at the Kabul airport in Afghanistan. The US President said that the US government is keeping a close watch on evil elements trying to foment trouble through acts of terrorism and also it is making close co-ordination with allies in that part of the region.

He said the US government has made one of the most difficult airlifts in history possible by evacuating US nationals and Afghans who have supported Americans over the past two decades. More than 18,000 people have been evacuated since July and about 13,000 since its military airlift began on August 14, he added.
